To expect DH to look after the kids this afternoon while I finish some work?

As far as I'm concerned we made an agreement - I took them out all this morning and for lunch. I wanted to spend this afternoon finishing some work (due Tues)so that then I can enjoy the rest of the weekend.
Soooo - DH says 'that's fine, it's a nice day, we'll go out into the garden etc'

SO he is now in the graden doing jobs (cleaning out shed, getting garden furniture out etc) and kids played out for about an hour but have now come back in and are bugging me (locked away on the study) for drinks/ whingeing because DH won't play with them/ wanting a snack/ help on the computer/ fighting inside within earshot etc etc etc)

I am SO MAD. If I don't get this finished now I will have to do it this evening while DH is no doubt watching TV

Oh I've tried that, Fox - his response was "oh but I've got all this stuff out in the garden to finish, I can't go out now... they'll just have to amuse themselves..."

Thing is, once they are in the house they are my responsibility 'cos he can't hear them... (which of course is his plan, isn't it???)

How come you're married to my dh ? I'm off to check the shed!

Is your work portable? Could you bugger off to a coffee shop with it & leave your dh to it?

Put them back out the garden with drink, snack etc and shut the door.
