How easy is it to leave the field once you've got there - could you go for a short while? Sitter possible so that you could leave baby home? Guess alot of it boils down to how much do you want to go?

LoveMyGirls · 06/04/2007 12:52

We've got the car so getting home is no probs. think i'll take the big pushchair and lots of layers and blankets for the kids and us (im always cold even inside!)

If dd2 won't settle we'll just have to come home. I was just a bit shocked i guess i should be more adventerous (sp?)

Like a shot.

SherlockLGJ · 06/04/2007 17:50

If anyone is smoking it is going to be totally and utterly diluted, by a moving breeze.

Whereas in a house they would huddle around thte back door and the children would be getting second hand smoke.

pointydog · 06/04/2007 17:57

a field?

SHould be good for kids to run about. Is it a barbecue?

Don't wear your heels.

oxocube · 06/04/2007 18:18

what a lovely idea. Sounds perfect. Hope you go and have a fabulous evening

filthymindedvixen · 06/04/2007 18:50

have you got one of those sun shelter type tents?? Take a load of blankets, teddy, milk etc and pop her in there to sleep when she gets past it - that's what we do when we go to field parties/festivals etc. then scoop her up to the car when you leave.

Hope you have a lovely time!

I would be annoyed too but then i'm not an outdoorsy type of person and these nights are still freezing for me [killjoy emoticon needed]

powder28 · 06/04/2007 19:01

LoveMyGirls · 06/04/2007 21:22

Just got home, ended up ok - i was panicking over nothing.

Kids went off with my parents about 2pm i stayed her to cool down and ended up round a friends house who was having a bbq after a couple of glasses of wine dp picked me up and we went to find them by the time we got there they had packed up and were on thier way home so we went back to thier house anyway i bathed dd2 there and put her pj's dd1 is staying there and dd2 is now shattered and tucked up in bed.
