DS has just started nursery and have had an invite for photo from Yoo Photography.

The reviews look terrible.
Plus I have no idea of the costs. Never had professional photos done before.

Have you had any experience with this company? Please help, am not sure if I can afford it and would
be taking him in on his day off!

Thank you so much!!!

Oh dear - bumping for traffic - anyone!

What do you pay for nursery photos?
Are they worth it?

Thanks for that!
I only have pics taken by me, some quite good.
Just wondered if these are really worth it?

Grin ahh I remember the good old days of the school photos!

Always thought if I booked him anywhere he would get black eye/chicken pox/scratch his face.

Probably save my money then!!!

DS had some photos taken at nursery and they oddly took his shoes and socks off, they also managed to make the picture look nothing like him. Very odd, I bought one out of curiosity! They were a bit 'Venture' photography so won't be going up in our house!

Never heard of that company so can't comment on them but if you're not sure is there any chance of taking your child in just for the photo and then taking them home again? If you don't like the result you're under no obligation to buy it. Failing that, as suggested already, a local independent photographer will be happy to either do a studio shoot or come to your house/garden/local outdoor space to take nice, natural photos of your child in their normal environment. Again, although you have to pay for the shoot, you don't have to buy the photos if you're not happy with them.

Some of the nicest professional photos I have of my dc are those from nursery where the photographer sat in the corner and snapped them as they were playing. Lovely, natural images of them being themselves.
