To take my own snacks?

Donning my hard hat...

I seem to spend half my life with other new mums on a picnic bench just outside - NB - a local park cafe. I.e. this isn't one of their tables, though it is typically used by cafe patrons. We always get coffees and sometimes sandwiches from the cafe then take them out with us. We're there for hours but to be honest the clientele is 90% pram brigade 10% freelancers with laptops - how they make any money I don't bloody know. Plus some of the stuff for sale there is a bit iffy - it's at toddler height and gets touched/sneezed on at a good rate.

Up until now I've occasionally brought a bit of fruit or something with me but now I'm (genuinely) wondering - would it be out of line to bring my own biscuits/whatever for us to share?

If it is a table for the general public to use irrespective of whether they have bought anything from cafe or shop, then I would say to go ahead and bring your own snacks.

Defo if the table doesn't belong to the cafe. Why waste money, esp if you don't want their stuff

As long as the table definitely doesn't belong to the cafe YANBU to take your own snacks
