Citizens Advice volunteering - what work can it lead onto?

I recently applied to volunteer at a local Citizens Advice Bureau. I've taken a couple of tests and had an interview earlier today, which I'm waiting to hear back from.

Does anyone on here work as a CAB volunteer? I was just wondering what kind of work it could potentially lead to.

Thanks :)

If you qualify as an adviser, which is quite a lot of work, you can work in the advice sector. This is usually for charities, but could also be in local authorities.

I volunteer for CAB doing witness service. I go into court and help support witnesses (usually the victim) I help them with the court process and reading their statements. I work with vulnerable people from children to adults. I enjoy what I do and it is great to have on your CV.

I hope you enjoy it! All the best!

DM volunteered when she 'retired' and now does all their training as a paid role...she loves it.
