I HATE POUND COINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My shop is never short of change, we always get loads, fuel, tabs etc paid for in pound coins and 50ps, up to £60 pound coins at a time sometimes. I'm taking them to the bank daily a few hundred pound at a time.
Biggest culprits, taxi drivers and fellow shop owners who inform me that they keep getting them and they are a nuisance.
One driver paid in £15.10 in pound coins and when i cave him 90p in 10 pences to try and lighten my till he thought i was winding him up.
I have never handed over that much change in one go ever unless i have changed it at a bank its driving me utterly bonkers!!!!!!!
Some have asked if we need change and when I've said were ok thanks we have plenty they look so disappointed and some a little put out and reluctantly hand over the notes, which is odd as apparently according to the main culprits, its all money and it all spends, forgeting that its also heavy in your pocket and a pain in the bottom to carry around!!
Again light hearted post i know will be being very unreasonable.....
