Ah... been awake since 3am. Currently 32 weeks pregnant - can't get back to sleep. Can't get comfortable and I have an insane craving for a sausage and egg mcmuffin.... and I'm vegetarian! Angry

At least the cat seems happy I'm awake.

Anyone have any random 4am pregnancy craving stories they can tell to keep me amused so I don't grab the car keys??

WineAndTiramisu · 18/09/2017 04:33

5am, we sent someone yesterday at 5am for breakfast to keep us all going at work!

ethelfleda · 18/09/2017 04:36

38 weeks here and sat up getting annoyed at pregnancy insomnia. I'm craving a bowl of cornflakes with ice cold milk but we have no milk, and the milk man won't be here for another couple of hours. By which time DS will be up and I'll be running round getting him ready for school. Pregnancy sucks!

Bonelessbanquet · 18/09/2017 05:11

Only 20 weeks, I've struggled to keep anything down all day! Woken up starving but all I want is a toasted bagel, crispy bacon and cheese!

WineAndTiramisu · 18/09/2017 05:25

I'm 9 weeks and the McDonald's breakfast hit the spot yesterday, I may go on the way home from work this morning Grin

Here in the states they serve breakfast at McDonalds ALL DAY!

spidey66 · 18/09/2017 07:22

TBH if this was me wondering, I'd go onto McDs website rather than ask Mumsnet!

ethelfleda · 18/09/2017 07:26

spidey ahhh humour a pregnant lady... it was clearly more of a small rant as well as a half serious question!
Besides, I did Google and could find a definitive answer. Anyway, I didn't go in the end and managed to get a whole more 30 minutes sleep Smile

At 41+5 and totally fed up, I drove to McDonalds and bought 4 (yes 4) egg mcmuffins & scoffed them all. They were so tasty! I don't normally go near Mcdonalds! DD2 was born that evening happily at home (no looming induction required) so they gave me lots of necessary energy! I hope you get your mcmuffins!

daditudes · 18/09/2017 07:33

Oh! And now Uber will bring McDonalds to your house here too!

ethelfleda · 18/09/2017 07:34

Where is this 'the states' ?? It sounds like a magical place.

manicinsomniac · 18/09/2017 07:35

For some reason I thought McDonalds was a 24/7 place.

But I might have made that up.

ethelfleda · 18/09/2017 07:41

It is a 24/7 place - I just wasn't sure when the big Macs ended and the mcmuffins started Smile

Mmm.. now theres an idea! I can't believe they stop serving at 10.30am, they could make a fortune from the hangover eaters up until 12 on a weekend.

FeedMyFaceWithBattenberg · 18/09/2017 07:48

I've never had a McDonalds breakfast!
If I were to try one today, what should I order?!

ethelfleda · 18/09/2017 07:52

Sausage and egg mcmuffin
Hash brown
Black coffee

You won't regret it Smile

Ameliablue · 18/09/2017 07:57
