I have had the following symptoms for three months:

bleeding bewteen periods, very bad pain (like a knife twisting) in my lower belly, which spreads to the back and I cannot sit, bloating, nausea, strange taste in mouth, irregular bowel movements.

what does she says? 'It's the coil, see ya'. (copper coil) she is a gynecologist as well and she did not touch my belly, did not visit me, NOTHING!!!!

just took the coil out (as i want another baby) and told me to come back if it happens.

I did insist but she wouldn't budge.

Am I right to want to strangle her or am I just being paranoid?

I remember I have private health care with work, shall i use it, book an apt in italy when I go next month or wait till next month?

If the private health care costs you nothing, and you are concerned, why not get a second opinion? Next time you get any symptons, that is. Now the coil is out, the problem may well be solved.

She might be right that it's the coil causing it.

Maybe the thing to do is to see how you get on now that you've had the coil removed, and if you still have problems then see a different doctor.

part of a gp';s job is to reassure. a good gp will do thtt. a not so good one having a bad day wont be as patient.
if you re still upset, then go see a different gp at the same practice. tell them your symptoms, but dont complain about the other doctor. just sya you are still concerned.

I was ill on and off for three months and yet the local GP's repeatedly told me I had a bug and I would 'get over it'

It wasn't until I turned bright yellow and was in a lot of pain...my DH took me to A&E to find out my liver was failing (due to a blockage from my gall bladder)...so not a bug then .
I am alright now awaiting an op but I am angry that I suffered for all those months for no reason.

Please get a second opinion, just in case it is something more serious.

GP's are just human and sometimes they miss things. All the best.

thank you all. I think will get a second opinion, to be on the safe side.
