If you had been asked to prepare a presentation for an interview, and one element of your presentation was to answer the question - you have a deadline of XXDATEXX - demonstrate how you would manage your and your teams' time

Would you think -

Give them examples of how you time manage on a project - responsive to-do lists, Gantt charts, shared drive research databases, weekly progress reports etc.

OR

Would you think they were asking you for a roughed out schedule/time line?

ANY thoughts greatly appreciated!

More the first one, but don't see why that would necessarily exclude parts of the second

Good luck

Thanks Tyne -

No I agree that some 'I would expect to have complete X by Y date' is part of that.... but unsure if they want an actual full schedule ...

First IV since one went very wrong recently. May be overthinking.

Could you not show how the first would lead to the second iyswim. Show charts lists etc and referring back to where you'd be on timeline getting to end date.

I'd say 'get down the pub and have a beer, then thrash it out from there'.

MILESTONES

That's the word I'd been looking for

Milestones.

THAT'S what I can give them

The first one is the method, how you draw on your skills, knowledge, experience and behaviours. The second one is the end result.

Both are important, but I reckon you will give a stronger account if you show your workings out
