If you don't understand Bitcoin then it's probably a bad idea to get involved in it.

I'm not planning on getting involved. A Facebook "friend" is posting videos about how amazing it is with lots of comments along the lines of "I just love how I make money in my sleep".

Bitcoin is a real thing, but anyone posting about how they "make money in their sleep" is probably out to scam you.

Cryptocurrencies (Bitcoins and the like) are going through a bit of a bubble at the moment, hence lots of people who 'are making money in their sleep'. Unfortunately they are totally unregulated, and the underlying assets are sketchy to say the least. That doesn't mean you won't make money, but the risk is high

Well, she'll be losing money right now while she sleeps (compared to a couple of weeks ago) along with the rest of us. I have no idea what Bitcoin packages are but if it's not directly buying Bitcoin (or the XBT tracker) I wouldn't touch it. Plus I would only buy them directly if I absolutely loved high risk.

Bitcoin is only one of many cryptocurrencies.
You need to do a lot of reading to educate yourself on the subject.
Anybody thinking of investing in Bitcoin now is a bit late to the party tbh.
The other currencies are probably a better bet.
People who bought back when a coin cost 8 dollars have done very well as a coin is now around 4K dollars.
It has nothing to do with mlm.

That sounds like a MLM. Bitcoin in itself isn't a MLM but that sounds like someone making a MLM from it. If you want to buy Bitcoin buy it direct from one of the main exchanges like Coinbase.
