and a bit previous too, but in my defence I was excited for DD, so I was gutted when nothing turned up.
But the lovely people at Mattel admitted there was a mistake on their part and they very generously sent us the goody bag DD would have had at Fairy School and a DVD and some more Barbie kit to cheer us up. A very good haul for a Barbieaddict. I'm having to drip feed DD with it to keep her levels of excitement manageable. All just in time for the holidays.
Thanks Mattel, thanks Mumsnet. I promise to be more patient and understanding in future and less mistrusting of the human kindness of others
Bear skulks off to have a good hard think about himself....

I don't think you were at all unreasonable. Someone cocked up and your dd didn't get the prize she should have got - not at all unreasonable to complain about it (although I would have loved to have seen some photos of Bear at fairy school )

It's nice that they got their act together in the end though, and that your Barbieholic has lots of goodies to keep her smiling!
