Does anyone have one or know someone who does and be willing to answer a few questions?

I have had one for seven years. We are a rare breed, ask away!

my sister has one

I'm going to be asking for my son to have one but his consultant agreeing is dependent on him being able to ( at least eventually!) self manage the care of it.

How easy is it to drain? Clean?

Thank you for replying!

she says its really easy once your used to it, it was a bit tricky at first and she pushed her catheter in too far a few times which made her eyes water but shes fine with it now and has had it about 4 year, she keeps it clean with wipes, she also said the stoma nurse will go through everything with you and show you how to use it ect, how olds your son?

He's 7 but has Down syndrome which with is his bladder condition is incredibly rare and not often treated to this level so I've met lots of resistance over the years.
