Sigh, why do children have a radar for chooing the night u absolutely have to get up and be energetic the next day , to decide to wake 4 times, lie on your head in your bed or cry at every given opportunity? only to skip happily of to their grandparents and leave u knackerd and incapable of doing anythign!!!!

Sleep? Yep, that's unreasonable.

My DS ALWAYS has a terrible night before we have the long drive to the inlaws the next day, usually wakes up a gazillion times and then is ready to rock and roll at 5am. Maybe I give off some kind of negative vibes and he knows! Means we have to drink about 40 cans of coke on journey down so as not to fall asleep...

tell me about it! My dd 2yrs is generally a good sleeper but on the days I have to drive to london for hospital (2hr drive btw) she decides to have a crap night! They definatly have a radar!!

look on the bright side - the grandparents get to deal with them when they get cranky later

BigEggLittleEgg · 04/04/2007 07:57

Sadly no, they just look on saying "you'll want another one when you get past this difficult stage"......... arrrggh. He is not difficult just a psychic genius .

I used to find when my ds1 was a baby that the house could be as noisy as you like and he would stay asleep, but as soon as i tried to get into bed he would start screaming. I used to tip toe into the bedroom and he would instantly wake up.
