..booking a mini holiday to ibiza with my mates, no kids and not an ounce of guilt??!!

Actually i dont care if its unreasonable! im so excited!! 4 whole days of no whinging children, just adults, and i can stay out clubbing til 6 in the morning! Yahooo!!
dd and ds dont seem to mind if i go.. and ex dh is happy to babysit while im gone.
Unreasonable?

I wish I could club till 6am still!!! you must be superwoman, mind you I'm 30+. If you are too what's the secret? I've got a couple of hen weekends coming up this year and I feel a bit guilty about going which is really annoying me. I'm sure I'll be able to enjoy myself somehow though. We all deserve a break, enjoy it frenchconnection!!

Have to admit I think I would rather stay home with DD than go on a holiday and club til 6.00am..

Well im 27 so not too old and i havent been out for ages... actually spend every single day and night with dd and ds so its not like i never see them!

Frenchy, enjoy your well deserved holidays, do with them as you please and join us in longing for quieter things when you reach our age

Then as I said - go for it - I sense a little guilt though or has someone said something to make you feel that you should feel guilty. Sod what anyone else thinks, if all around you are happy with it then that's what really matters

Actually do long for some quiet time too..hmm..sunbathing by the pool with just the sound of the little umbrella clinking in my cocktail..aaaaa heaven..
(you know i am getting closer to 30)

I'd like the holiday but not the clubbing, am not clubbing type.

But yeah go, it's 4 days not 4 months.

Yep, good on you! I am going away with a group of girls for a long weekend in June ( I havnt been on hols for 4 years!) My dh has booked the time off work to stay at home to look after DD, and do you know what, I dont feel the tiniest bit of guilt!
Everyone deserves 'me' time!
