A theme park has a private event whereby the british naturist society (BNS) are hiring it for a day. All staff have volunteered to work (so no one has been forced to) and its closed off to members of the public.
I have a season ticket for said place and we have a little fb page exchanging event dates etc.
AIBU to be defending the BNS by saying they can do whatever they want in private. They have so far been called perverts, had people said that they are sure child protection would be interested if kids were there as well (they will be it's a family event) and that it's a form of abuse. Personally I feel forcing you religion on children would be far more damaging than being a naturist.
The amount of people who's own children haven't seen them naked shocked me as well. One women will be naked in front of her dds but her dh isn't allowed as he's a man!!
I'm so out numbered that I'm checking I IABU or not Confused

Private event

There's your answer :)

YANBU in my opinion.

I think yanbu. Don't see the harm in it, personally. I wouldn't choose it myself, but have no issue with others choosing to be a naturist.

As an outspoken and "active" atheist (for lack of a better way of putting it) I completely agree with this, but it's a distraction from the topic and likely to send it off on a whopping tangent.

Yes not my thing but I'll defend peoples rights.
I just don't see the automatic link to naked = sexual.

YANBU to defend. It's not my kind of thing (and this time of year! Potentially quite chilly!), but if other people want to wander around nude (I'm guessing with little towels for the seats if I remember my naturist etiquette correctly), more power to them.

As to the kids thing, dear god, it's normal human bodies, it's really not the end of the world if kids see a few in a completely non-sexualised situation like that.

Thank you all I was getting quite worked up about it and then thinking about how hubby and I are nude daily in front of the Dc's.
