CFBirthday Girl Mum

Something is in the air lately with all these CFs, here's my addition to the pile...

DD went to a birthday party today. Dropped her off, all fine, went to pick her up and got chatting to the Birthday Girl's Mum. Turns out birthday girl has had a fever of 40 for the past eight days but Birthday Girl Mum had dosed her up on paracetamol so she could have the party.

Fuckity fuck fuck, they've only been at school for two bloody days, I can't do with two sick DCs (DC2 was there at pick up and drop off and kissed the birthday gir too).

My cousin had a family do for his youngest daughter's 1st birthday and neglected to tell everyone until halfway through the party that the birthday girl and his two older daughters had all had a tummy bug and that two of them had only stopped throwing up that very morning.

Three-quarters of the guests then came down with the same bug, including my parents who spent 48 hours barely able to leave the bathroom.

That's not cheeky, that's downright selfish!!

PovertyJetset · 06/09/2017 20:38

That's so bloody rude!

Dd2 vomited the night before her party. Emailed all parents but they opted to let their kids come anyway (after school). None got sick but ended up with me running party with birthday girl upstairs in bed. Not our most successful birthday. She even refused pizza and birthday cake (properly ill)

Have had this recently too. At a party whilst pregnant with my son to find out that party child had a bug the night before and morning of party but parents decided to go ahead anyway. Was not impressed as me and son were poorly luckily mildly but still very annoying. I feel for you OP

My daughter was off school for 3 weeks and lost over a stone with a horrendous virus after spending lots of time with birthday boy at his party he was apparently dosed up to get through. I was so upset by this, so selfish. The worst though was someone being sick next to my other daughter at the twins' club Christmas party and the grandparents then NOT taking her home!! The sickness started the following day for all of us, two at a time, goodness knows how many people got it. I was crying on the way home as it was the first time I'd gone to anything for 2 months thanks to my youngest two having so many other illnesses. Nightmare.

Yadnbu to be cross. I really hope your kids don't get sick.
