To buy a new stroller

I have a silver cross wayfarer and I bought it second hand. It didn't cost me anything as I sold my first pram that my son used to pay for it. DD is 8 months old and I'd think I'd like something a bit more manageable. I told DH I was going to put it up for sale and buy a smaller more manageable stroller and I'd seen one I liked that's on sale. DH is totally against the idea. I feels he's unfair as I use the pram daily and even when we head out at the weekend I tend to push the pram. WIBU to just sell it and buy the stroller?

Why is he against it?

twilight85 · 06/09/2017 13:52

He thinks it's a waste of money and the one we have is fine

But he doesn't use it!! How can he say it's fine??

Swap it for what suits you best if you're the one pushing it. I had six different prams/strollers/double buggies/buggy boards and walked everywhere when my three were younger. All together they still cost less than a new set of tyres for the one car we had!

He's going by how it looks it was and still is in amazing condition. For me a buggy had to be nice to look at, comfy and great to push with a handy basket. This one struggles to go in a straight line with one hand which makes it hard when I'm holding my other sons hand crossing the road

Lots of parents do this. Just sell and buy an stroller.

Had the same with my OH. Went and did it anyway. He moaned, but now he uses the stroller himself, he is amazed at how much easier it is to handle.

Is your DH pissed off because it's the second time?

NapQueen · 06/09/2017 14:53

Just do it. I would bet if he bought himself a pair of trainers or a phone which he soon realised didnt do what he needed to do or were uncomfortable he would buy new without even asking your opinion.

EssentialHummus · 06/09/2017 14:55

Do it, you're the one who has to use the thing.

bananamonkey · 06/09/2017 14:56

Just do it, I have a pram and recently got a stroller, didn't ask DH before I bought it...

Do whatever suits you best!
