To not know what goes into school bag?

Sons first day back tomorrow and first day in special school year 1 (Moved from mainstream) I'm not entirely sure what to pack in his bag for his first day!! Ie food and drink wise. I'm also not sure how the school lunch works with me informing the school that he will be starting on their dinners to see if he takes to them.

I'm probably just a little stressed and will call them this morning as I'm sure the staff will be in today.

Bottle of water and a piece of fruit.

Change of clothes.
Drink and snack (check policy).
PE kit.

Hmm. My eldest has a Mary Poppins approach and keeps her lunch, a rain mac, a sponge bag, a sun hat and sun cream, spare socks, slippers, a phone charger, a hat stand, a large oriental rug, a bedside lamp and dresser...

Middle child keeps his lunch box and literally nothing else ever. Especially not his pencil case or glasses.

Youngest takes some barbies, some books, a yo-yo, a stuffed tiger, and every pair of socks she's ever worn to school.
