I work at Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation and have launched four swimming badges to encourage people of all ages to get active, look after their lungs and head down to their local swimming pool to part in swim the distance this November.

It is completely free to register, you simply choose the distance you would like to get to (one mile, 5 miles, 10 miles or a marathon) and have the month of November to get to your distance at a time that is convenient for you, some people choose to do it in one go and others go a couple of times a week. We also have a team badge so families can swim the distance between them.

As I mentioned, it is free we just ask swimmers to encourage friends and family to sponsor them but there is minimum amount and all people who complete the swim get a swimming badge and certificate once they have finished.
