To think PE Pumps are indeed Sports Shoes?

I went to Clark's to buy school shoes, and saw an advert in store "£5 off Children's Sports Shoes" so picked up some Pumps for PE- to be told at the till Pumps are full price because "Clark's do not class them as sports shoes".

I politely pointed out the pumps are displayed amongst the rest of the "sports shoes" and in reality what else are they worn for other than PE/Sports. Both staff at the till agreed.

Depends what they looked like. Black plimsolls, YANBU. Fashion Toms-esque pumps, YABU. Post a link / image.

If you took £5 off most pumps (assuming plimsolls) you'd be getting them more or less free.

They would mean trainers not those cheap plimsolls. You wouldn't do proper sports wearing them
