To be feeling so awful?

I am 15 stone. I am only 5'2. I know it's massive.

I am trying really hard to lose it and have lost 4 stone you can imagine how I used to look.

But here is the thing. Since I began losing weight, it's had a really negative effect on my self image. Like before I knew I looked like shit and chose to ignore it. Now, I want to look nice, but don't! And I'm conscious it's going to be 2018 before I look anything like OK.

Can anyone relate?

Well done on your weight loss! Im 5ft 1 and have lost 4 stone, from almost 15 stone to 10 stone 10lbs.

I am still genuinely shocked when smaller sized clothes fit. I think it takes your head a lot longer to catch up! I still see myself as bigger and its hard to not just see more/different flaws i.e sagginess/cellulite.

I find looking at pictures of myself at my heaviest and lightest helps as I can see the progress.

I can't properly relate but omg, you've lost 4 stone! That's bloody wonderful. You deserve a big treat. Buy a few clothes that fit you properly right now and get your hair done or buy some new make up. Be the best version of yourself today.

2018 is not very far away and you are right, it will take that long to lose the rest but you've done the worst bit already which is making the changes.

So you've got five minutes to feel down in the dumps and then I insist you celebrate your awesomeness. Smile

Matilda is so right! Celebrate your loss, get your hair done, your eyebrows waxed (a mini face lift I always call it) and buy yourself a new item of clothing in your new size.

Well done and best of luck with losing the rest.

Yes, completely relate. It’s a long hard journey losing weight.

I lost about 5 stone a few years ago and definitely felt worse about myself at times whilst losing the weight than I felt to begin with.
I’m out the other end of it now though and feeling better than ever. But it took about 4 years to lose the weight and keep it off consistently. (I have PCOS so it all took a bit longer than it should have!)

Just keep celebrating the small achievements and focus on each day as it comes. You’ll get there Flowers

And well done on losing 4 stone already!

Thank you. I am hoping to be almost at target by Christmas and X factor tonight ... Not so long!
