Neighbour's barking dog

Neighbours (in a terrace) have a new dog.

The dog barks a lot when it is at home alone. I'm not overly worried for the dog's welfare as it doesn't sound very distressed, and it's never for more than about an hour. (BUT an hour seems a long time with constant barking!)

So how much barking do I have to put up with before I can complain?

I have a 6 month old baby who has been woken from naps on several occasions. And it's just bloody annoying TBH. They shut it in the back part of the house which is right next to our kitchen/living room and the baby's room, so basically I can't get away from it.

Tell them now. Don't wait, they might not even be aware if it's happening when they're out.

Make them aware of it, politely. They likely won't have any way of knowing about it unless someone tells them it's happening.

Then give them an opportunity to address the issue.

Ask them to put it in a different room, they probably don't know it's happening

Such sensible suggestions! Must grow up and just have a discussion rather that winding myself up and imagining charging round there and hammering on the door!

Yup, talk before it becomes such a big deal for you that you explode!
