Been with DP just over 2 years, just bought a house.

Knew he watched porn (no issue)
I know I shouldn't have been snooping. But his deleted emails is
'DP: you are receiving this email because you have recently changed your password on Live Jasmin'

What is it? I had a google and it looks like a cam site? I feel sick. I don't feel like there's anyway it could be junk because of the password bit

Yep, lots of Romanian girls DH says

Fuckthisshit1 · 01/09/2017 17:45

So a real life woman, interacting with him?

OP posts:
manglethedangle · 01/09/2017 17:48

Sort of. The girls are on camera and guys pay (usually) to ask them to do something. Several guys at once.

For me, it's a no no, where as standard porn I'm fine with.

AnyFucker · 01/09/2017 17:49

Ugh

OstentatiousWanking · 01/09/2017 17:50

What made you look at his deleted emails?

Fuckthisshit1 · 01/09/2017 17:51

It's an absolute fucking no no from me too!

However Live Jasmin is one of the more common pop ups on porn websites, so potentially nothing but spam.

Plenty of spam and malware uses a change of password request to get people to click through a link.

FluttershysCutieMark · 01/09/2017 17:55

You could easily go to the site, use his email and do forget password to reset it again then log in using a new password, that way you know if he has an account.

mishfish · 01/09/2017 18:03

Live Jasmin pops up a heck of a lock on porn websites.

If it's a webcam site, it can be one to one webcamming for a price. Usually just a load of people in a chat room paying tokens to the model in exchange for them doing sexual acts.

I agree with the PP about the 'forget password'

Fuckthisshit1 · 01/09/2017 18:06

I asked him.
He says it's a pop up. We do download a lot of stuff. He doesn't lie well, so I'm inclined to believe him

AdalindSchade · 01/09/2017 18:07

How is it a pop up if it's in his emails and he has an account with them? It's a pop up, but a pop up he then clicked on and signed up to!

AnyFucker · 01/09/2017 18:10

Were you born yesterday ?

SouthWindsWesterly · 01/09/2017 18:11

If it's a pop up, why does he have an email saying that he's changed his password?

Manclife · 01/09/2017 18:12

My wife gets these emails too, they're spam. However, your stuffed now either way as if you say nothing it'll play on your mind, if you challenge and it's spam you've admitted a lack of trust.

Fuckthisshit1 · 01/09/2017 18:19

Sorry, I meant spam.

LonginesPrime · 01/09/2017 18:22

I get phishing emails referring to an order I placed, password changed, etc, from various random sites, so it does seem feasible that it's spam.

If the aim is to get someone to open an email, I can see why this might be an effective ploy - emails saying you've changed your password to something can be worrying and get your attention if you haven't changed your password. If you don't have an account with them, you won't have just changed your password, so the subject line would draw you in. Even if you know it's from a porn site, if you haven't got an account with them, the fact they're confirming a password change might make you want to check whether someone has opened an account using your email.

If there's nothing else to make you suspicious, I would put this down to spam and not let it ruin your relationship!

Obviously, if this is the tip of the iceberg, then why don't you put the email address into the site and say 'forgot password' - it will either send a password reset to the email address so you can see what he's been up to or tell you there's no account registered. Job done.

FluttershysCutieMark · 01/09/2017 18:24

Well I got an email today asking to reset my Facebook password, I'm not even on Facebook. It is possible to get spam emails containing bogus info.

BluePheasant · 01/09/2017 18:33

You need to try and log in with and see if he has an account. If you try and do password reset thing with his email I would have thought it will say if there's no account registered to the email. Soon find out if he's telling the truth about it being spam or not.

balsamicbarbara · 01/09/2017 19:35

You surreptitiously diving in his emails is morally further down the ladder than him looking at some site in his spare time tbh

Notthemessiah · 01/09/2017 19:49

Bluepheasant- that's not necessarily true. Plenty of sites will not confirm whether an email address is registered and will say they are sending a password reset email whatever address you type in.

I tend to agree that digging through someone's emails (when they presumably trust you) is worse than visiting some porn site - I'm not sure I'd see much difference between a cam site and a regular porn site (except presumably the girls are more likely to be paid on one of these sites than the many free 'regular' porn sites) and you say you have no issue with him watching 'normal' porn.

Jackson2010 · 14/09/2017 11:08

Have a look at the email and see if there is a username and then go onto the live Jasmin website...when u click forgot password u have to type in the username and an email address and it will send u a link and then u will know.

I have experience as my kids dad was using this behind my back, and paying shit loads for it 😞

Karen85 · 14/09/2017 11:40

I've had pop ups taking me to livejasmin from downloading movies websites, streaming websites and things like that loads of times. I've never had an email though.

To be fair it could just be a spam email weirder things happen online to people's email addresses

DanHumphreyIsA · 14/09/2017 13:08

I know its not the same but I've had 'paypal' phishing emails, that look like password reset requests so it could be spam. Not sure how common it is with webcam sites however.

CaptainCabinets · 15/09/2017 10:52

I've had similar emails from LiveJasmin and other sites and I'm certainly not an account holder! Don't stress and stop snooping in your DP's emails.
