Posting here for traffic as need some opinions and to hear others experiences.

I had a much wanted ds2 9 weeks ago. While I was pregnant around 3 mnts ago Dh had a vasectomy as we knew we didn't want any more due to a number of mc and for financial reasons. He was due to get checked to see it it worked last month but due to a backlog the hospital can't do this till October. At my 6 week check (done at 8 weeks due to another back log) I was given the pill until he gets the all clear, unfortunately before I got that we did something daft and had sex a few days before I haven't had a period since the birth that I know of although did bleed for almost 6 weeks stopping and starting post birth so may have had one without realising so am now terrified I may be pregnant, I have felt like I am going to come on for the last week or so but nothing has happened and I do feel sick but I do when I am due on normally and have also been having stomach cramps on and off for the last week. We had sex around 3 weeks ago and I know the only way to know for sure is to test but I have no idea when and I want to be sure as I am going to start taking the pill as soon as I get a negative (hopefully) as the go told me I could take it straight away as it would help regulate my cycle. Any idea's as I don't want to spend a fortune on tests as currently on mat pay and money is tight as it is I can't believe I have been so bloody stupid as we cannot have/ do not want another child !!!

I would do one asap, then if it's negative again in a week just to put your mind at rest. Periods can take so long to get back into a rhythm after giving birth. I feel like you're fine

Assuming you ordinarily have 28 day cycles then testing 3 weeks after sex would be fine. If you are pregnant you would be 5 weeks pregnant and that should be seen clearly if you test.

Thank you, I know I need to just get on and do it waiting and putting it off isn't going to change the outcome I usually mc at 6 weeks so I think part of me is holding out till then so I if so come on I would have never known if you know what I mean daft I know

I think you can get tests from pound shops, so they're not that expensive.

If you had sex three weeks ago, you'd be about five weeks pregnant so a pregnancy test taken now would be reliable. Probably a good idea to do one sooner rather than later so you have as much time as possible to think about your options.
