Chuffing Facebook Selling Groups!

Fuck me, people are rude! I have some left over mdf and wood from a DIY project that I no longer need. There is quite a bit of it, as I over ordered, so I thought I'd give it away to someone who needed it rather than waste it. I have put up a post on a few selling sites and added it to 'the marketplace' that whoever can collect it can have it for free.
Well you wouldn't believe the bun fight! Apparently I'm 'a rude twat' for giving it to one person and not another because she thought she msgd first (she didn't) and now some other people have waded in calling me allsorts!
Dicks! I feel like taking the whole chuffing lot to the tip now! (I won't because that's wasteful but I am going to quietly fume over here)

I hate FB selling groups. They are mostly not moderated properly and are full of playground issues.

Has the person who did message first waded in with any horrible comments? If yes, find a new taker. If not, why punish them for others' rudeness?

I am a member of a " don't just bin it" fb group. They have a lot of rules one being no p.ms so they can see who's having it, make it fair. Ok but the " admin" tags her sister in pretty much everything so she gets first refusal. She's kitted out a whole house! I had some quite a bit of carpet offcuts recently. I didn't say any sizes or colours. I've heard animal charities can make use of it so asked if anyone knew of any. Straight away a woman said if no animal charities want it do you have any in grey? About 6 Foot by 5 please. I was tempted to ask if she wanted it laying too
