To have chocolate for breakfast?

I’m on the morning commute and just realised I have a wispa in my bag. Train left at 0747 and doesn’t get to London until nearly 9 and I’m really hungry already.

It would go really well with my cappuccino....

I've done it before.

I'd do it again

It's fine. In December I have chocolate for breakfast every morning - advent calendar Grin

sweetbitter · 31/08/2017 08:08

It's fine! It's not like you do it every day.

Think of all the sugary, chocolatey cereals and spreads people eat in the mornings.

Cupcakegirl13 · 31/08/2017 08:12

Oooo yes and dip it so it goes all melty and gooey at the end Wink

BendingSpoons · 31/08/2017 08:13

There's a theory that it is good to eat chocolate/cake etc in the morning, when your body deals with it better and it satisfies your cravings. Doesn't work for me as I still crave it later, but worth a shot!

imokit · 31/08/2017 08:14

No. Chocolate for breakfast is normal and sometimes necessary for mental health reasons.
UBU in that you've never done it before.

CaoNiMartacus · 31/08/2017 08:19

Chocolate for breakfast is a beautiful thing.

I've just had a good dollop of chocolate spread on a giant crumpet. I kind of wish I'd foregone the crumpet and just had the spread...

PsychoPumpkin · 31/08/2017 08:22

Ooh go on Grin

intuition · 31/08/2017 08:24

Was it good? Cos I'm guessing it's gone!

glow1984 · 31/08/2017 08:29

I’m dipping it into my cappuccino right now :D is that weird?

Sounds lovely. Chocolate for breakfast is absolutely fine otherwise they wouldn't have invented pain au chocolat (I hope I spelled that right)

BulletFox · 31/08/2017 09:01

Not at all. To be frank I've just had some custard creams before I make my proper breakfast!

Rufustherenegadereindeer1 · 31/08/2017 09:46

Nope go for it

We had breakfast cake on holiday

When dh protested (slightly)

I explaned that it had flour...from wheat so like toast, it had yogurt in, and eggs which are also breakfast foods

So it was obviously the same as breakfast

Whispa's have milk in and doesnt chocolate come from a bean...so like baked beans. (Strictly speaking its considered a seed but...meh)

OhSoggyBiscuit · 31/08/2017 13:33

I just had a KitKat for lunch, so you're fine :D

5foot5 · 31/08/2017 13:35

Well a pain au chocolat is a breakfast item. Isn't it?

Exactly - the Wispa is the lower-carb version! Well done OP for ditching some carbs Grin
