Returning to work

I started a new job as a TA in a very small school in July so was only there three weeks.
I'm only contracted to 3 days a week, 2 hours in the afternoon.

Thing is, I don't know when we return. It says on the school website that there is a teacher training this Friday (Sep 1st) and next Monday (Sep 4th) and pupils return on Tuesday (Sep 5th).

I have emailed the head at her email address and received no response so now I do not know when I'm actually due back in work. Do I go in for teacher training, am I expected to go in a for a full day or just my 2 hours if at all?

WIBU to just return as normal on the Wednesday (Sep 6th)? WYYD? Confused

Phone the school office on Friday.

It's difficult to answer as each school is different. Where I work TAs join in with some training days but not all.

That's an idea, there should be a point of contact during the holidays.

TBH you should have probably clarified this before you broke up for summer, but you will be expected to go in, usually for your contracted hours but depending on the nature of the training they might ask you to do your hours earlier on. Do you have any other members of staff on Facebook or something you could private message to ask? Or email the teacher you work with? I'm a teacher and have been in and out of school this week and back to the daily checking of my emails so I expect the head will get back to you soon
