I may be wrong, but I understand that the billows of white "smoke" (not actually smoke, it's steam isn't it?) produced by ecigs is optional. As in, it's not an essential part of the nicotine delivery, and has been artificially added to recreate the smoking effect. I've also been told that the volume of "smoke" can be adjusted on some ecigs.
Is this correct? And if it is, why do ecig smokers want to walk around like fire-breathing dragons, surrounded by a white fog? Ecigs seem to produce far more than actual cigarettes. I often wonder, as I see someone's face practically obscured by it, whether the ecig smokers actually want this.
Before anyone gets angry, I'm not complaining about it, it doesn't bother more, I just find it a bit strange.
