Vomiting and a temperature. If in doubt, stick to paracetamol and avoid asprin and ibrufen.

One DD:
Nothing. I noticed a funny red mark, checked and she had several of them including behind her ears then they turned into the telltale blisters.
She didn't seem to notice until she got quite a few spots.

The other DD:
High temp, obviously not feeling well, off food, sick.
Then the blisters started coming out.

I only got the chicken pox recently in my 30ish. No symptoms except being tired. I went to bed at 6pm the few days before they appeared because I was so tired.

I had chicken pox for the first time when I was 34. I had been out on a works do the night before and I felt like I had a hangover but I hadn't drunk much. Later that day I went food shopping and had a funny turn by the frozen food. Still feeling rough I went home and had a bath and picked at a spot on my upper arm. The next morning, woke up with a spotty chest, went to a pharmacy, flashed my chest and he confirmed chicken pox. First time in my working life I was off work before and after the Christmas period.
