To apply for job or not?

Hi everyone.

Already have another thread running on how I can learn to be more concise and clear when answering job interview questions.

I was going to post this in that thread, but it's another question really, so I thought I'd use another thread to ask if that's okay.

I had a job interview for a permanent role recently where I struggled to answer the questions clearly and concisely. I recently received feedback from it where the interviewers said that while they were impressed with my performance, they recommend that I could work on clarity and conciseness in the competency questions.

Another vacancy has now come up within the company (an internship position rather than a permanent role). The same skills and experience are needed in this role as for the other role that I applied for.

Do you think I should apply for the internship? I'm worried that my past interview performance and the fact I'd recently applied for a similar role at the same company may count against me.

Thanks :)

If you don't apply how are you ever going to display that you've learned from their feedback :) go for it!

I don't see any reason why you shouldn't apply, they can only say no but they might say yes!

Nothing to lose! You could put a line or two within stating you have had a previous interview and appreciated the feedback. You have worked hard to address the issues raised, and feel you are now in a stronger position.

Good luck.

see it as a practice if nothing else

Why do you want an internship, rather than a permanent role?
