To have self diagnosed my fatigue?

I have chronic anaemia. I usually cope ok with it but for the past few months I've noticed a change. Basically once a month I suddenly hit a huge wall and lose every bit of energy I had. Last month I barely managed 3000 steps ALL weekend as I barely left the sofa. I get headaches, feel ridiculously exhausted and basically feel like I'm suffering an anaemic melt down.

This month, same thing has happened all of a sudden. This week I've gone from 5 nights a week at gym, exercise classes, martial arts and over 10,000 steps a day to basically being unable to manage a 10 minute walk. Ive not been to gym all week and my steps have dropped to 3000 a day. Ive just realised these walls appear around the same time as my period.

So I've self diagnosed myself with period induced anaemic meltdown.

Basically, could my period (and they're not heavy!) be exagurating my anaemia once a month??

Anaemia can make you feel like shit. My HB was 96 which is low but not really low, and I kept feeling incredibly faint.

Have u been to the gp & are u on iron pills because they really helped me.

It could easily do that, but you need to go and get diagnosed and treated by your GP. There's tablets and treatment available so don't self-diagnose and suffer in silence.

I have anaemia and feel like this just before and during my period. Mine are not that heavy either but it makes me feel like I just can't properly function at all.
