Second time in 3 months I've had plumbing work done in my house and it's leaking.

I've reported the first guy to the site he was on (Rated People) but they basically won't get involved.

Second guy came on Sat. Basically strong armed me into letting him do the work ( I was expecting a quote but he turned up with his tools), didn't listen to me when I told him where the leak was, and hasn't fixed it. I told him it was still leaking and asked him to come back. He said he would but he's not agreed a time.

I'm basically being ripped off again aren't I?

I paid him on Sat when he finished.

I text him an hour later to say it was leaking.

He replied to say he'd come back. But hasn't said when.

Oh no that's a real spate of shitty luck. Keep harassing him hopefully he'll come back even if it's just so you leave him alone. It's not acceptable for him to not fix the work you've paid him for

Bad luck. We use mybuilder.com and have done okayish. Some businesses have more reviews than others.

I'm a qualified but former plumber (as in I changed careers) - I would always listen to the customer if they told me where they thought a leak might be at, if anything because it would usually reduce my time trying to find it! Thus keeping their bill down, and freeing me up to do other more profitable work. Why didn't he listen to you? Did he say? I mean sometimes leaks start in one place but actually appear in another place but that's no excuse not to listen to the customer.

The second guy was recommended by someone on Facebook, so not sure who i can report him to. I could write a shitty review on his fb page and sites he posts on but then I know he'll never sort it out.

I've only paid £200 to these idiots but it's annoying. Not least because the original job the second guy was trying to fix was leaking because it was done poorly by someone else previous.

I just want a plumber who knows what they're doing. I've had 2 plumbers round who do work regularly for good friends of mine, one said he was too busy (even though i said I'd wait and it wasn't urgent) and the other didn't give me a price and every time i contacted him said he'd get back to me and never did.

He said he didn't have time to look under the shower for the leak, so he looked where he thought it was.

I've tried texting again to ask him to confirm a time.
