Long story but after a long history of being quite badly bullied at work, i had a breakdown and was signed off with stress 3 weeks ago, i had my first appointment with occy health today as my manager said "we dont see stress as a real illness" and occy health have told me that "if everyone who didn't like their job just didn't come in, nobody would ever go to work" and that "you are alleging you have been bullied but with no proof, there isn't much you can do"

the bullying got so bad that i left work and had to force myself not to throw myself into the traffic as i felt i had no escape, ive been having 2 periods a month and waking up in the night crying and getting panic attacks, this period of my life as been awful and i was expecting that when it all came out i would be met with support but instead its been a lot worse.

Can anyone advise?

Not a complete list but didn't want to read and run.

Write down everything regarding the bullying. Start a journal from now on. Writing it down will help you look for and find proof, also it can be cathartic.

Go back to your GPS and ask for support. Don't refuse medication, short term drugs doesn't mean you're on them forever and you need help now!

Talk to CAB and ask for help regarding employment law. You may be able to leave and sue for constructive dismissal if your employer continues to refuse to support you regarding the bullying.

I'm sure others will be along with more advice.
