Bafoons at the pool

Wanderlust81 · 21/08/2017 20:57

What's the point in being a bafoon at the swimming pool ruining everyone's peace? Surely you can tell when you're being a disturbance?

OP posts:
StillDrivingMeBonkers · 21/08/2017 20:58

Do you mean buffoon or baboon?

Wanderlust81 · 21/08/2017 20:59

Buffoon but Baboon also fits the description of these morons

OP posts:
JeReviens · 21/08/2017 21:01

What is a bafoon? Confused

Redberets · 21/08/2017 21:01

What were the lifeguards doing?

Wanderlust81 · 21/08/2017 21:02

The lifeguards were washing the windows! Useless

OP posts:
Redberets · 21/08/2017 21:04

Well they're meant to be watching the people in the pool to make sure no one's drowning! I would be complaining about them to the management

MrMessy · 21/08/2017 21:05

Are we talking small, teenage or adult buffoons? I think the age is relevant.

Wanderlust81 · 21/08/2017 21:07

Adults, blokes! Nice peaceful pool and in gets this idiot splashing around like a demented walrus

OP posts:
NicolasFlamel · 21/08/2017 21:08

I'm so confused 😂 so many walruses and baboons

Beebee7 · 21/08/2017 21:09

Do you have a ladies hour/ladies group OP. We do at ours. 4 a week actually. No men, no kids.

Wanderlust81 · 21/08/2017 21:10

It's annoying though, it's not that kind of pool! How can someone not realise they are acting differently to everyone else? It's a bloody expensive slash pool otherwise

OP posts:
BreakfastAtSquiffanys · 21/08/2017 21:10

It's like Animal Planet in here!

I find sea lions are crap at staying inside their lanes

Wanderlust81 · 21/08/2017 21:11

No sea lions but you do get tortoises in the fast lane and that's a whole other thread

OP posts:
CockacidalManiac · 21/08/2017 21:12

Surely tortoises would just sink?

Redberets · 21/08/2017 21:13

Bloody slash pool?? Shock it gets worse!

GreatFuckability · 21/08/2017 21:13

It's a bloody expensive slash pool otherwise

jesus, i'd say their nonsense is the least of your issues if they're slashing in the pool.

Slowcookerheaven · 21/08/2017 21:17

Oh your autocorrects are so droll op

Slowcookerheaven · 21/08/2017 21:18

Are you usually so free and easy with your language as to use disablist terms for the lolz?

Huppopapa · 21/08/2017 21:23

An awful lot of disabled people enjoy swimming. There is a very loud chap in our local pool of whom my daughter used to be very scared. When I explained to her that he thought like a baby, was always happy and meant no harm, but she should make sure he didn't get closer to hit her by mistake she's been completely cool about it.
Are you sure the bafoon is in full control of his actions?

user12945938 · 21/08/2017 21:24

Was his penis hanging out? I think I saw him

PortiaCastis · 21/08/2017 21:26

Using terrible disablist words will not get you anywhere OP

Picklemuncher · 21/08/2017 21:34

YABU - Splashing in a pool? Who would have thought of it?

If they were doing it in the designated swim lanes, sure, they are annoying but in the rest of the pool, not hurting anyone?

Join a private swim club then

lljkk · 21/08/2017 22:17

Video or it didn't happen.

milliemolliemou · 21/08/2017 22:26

My guess is OP is in an hotel or large villa complex with a shared pool (hence lifeguards cleaning windows instead of lifeguarding).

If this is so, OP, I'd be more concerned about the double duty lifeguards.

I would also speak to the walrus. Or baboon. He's clearly not a tortoise but I'd be careful if he was a snapping turtle. Just tell him it's not on and if he doesn't listen talk to the operators.

Booboobooboo84 · 21/08/2017 22:28

Splashing in a splash pool? The nerve of him. Bastard.
