It's a very good friend's wedding anniversary tomorrow and I've got the outfit.

However, I thought I would have my new car by now, but can't collect until Friday. I can't go down in my old car as I don't feel safe driving the 200 miles to get there and back.

I will be staying a night there and driving home the next day.

Now, I would do this in my new car no problem. However, I really don't want to hire a car, for three days as I need to leave early to get to her house.

Should I hire the car and go anyway or ring up and cancel? I feel bad not going and cancelling so late.

WWYD?

Is it impractical to get the train?

Elendon · 21/08/2017 12:43

Just to add it's 300 miles, 150 there and back.

The train costs twice as much as a hire car.

what is wrong with your old car?

Not sure how we can help Confused

Only you know whether the friendship warrants the cost of a hire car.

It's been sorted! I'm going down this weekend and my lovely friend was most understanding. Love her loads!
