What do you keep and what do you chuck?

Not really an AIBU but...

For those with DC, how much of their 'stuff' do you keep, e.g. baby clothes, drawings, school reports/certificates, souvenirs, tickets from stuff etc etc? How do you organize it (or not?!) and do you find your first DC has more stuff than subsequent children? Are you quite relaxed about stuff going missing/getting chucked or do you like to keep most things and know where everything is? Do you try and label and date everything e.g. Child x August 2017?

Genuinely curious as about to have a big sort out and would like to see what others do!

Use it, love it or lose it

I chuck most things that aren't going to be useful as hand me downs. Bar very very few sentimental items. Tickets/drawings etc I date and photograph if I want to remember.

I've kept a few classic toys, wooden stuff, Lego, ELC Happyland, just in case I ever have grandkids 😉 DM kept a lot of my old toys which my children have loved. Also kept decent books that hopefully won't seem too old fashioned in years to come. Every year I go through schoolwork and keep anything interesting, laminated, paintings I really like, reports etc. I probably keep 10% and chuck the rest. When eldest dc finished primary I boxed all the school stuff up and put it in the attic.

I have kept classic and handmade pieces eg handkitted baby cardis. Stored in the loft in paper, then vacuumed sealed, then in a box with moth and mice repellant

Artwork is photographed or scanned and then binned. The files are kept on the portable hard drive and also on a memory stick each

They each have a file which has:
First birthday cards from immediate family members only
Tickets from ballet concerts but not things they have attended
All ' proper' certificates and badges. Things like "superstar" certificates from nursery and the like are scanned as above
Report cards and school photos
