Horrible dream analysis AIBU

Sorry this is so horrible.

I had a dream last night (more of a nightmare, actually) where I'd cut off my nose, cut out an eye and done something to my mouth (not sure what). Would never ever do this in reality, and it's shaken me up a lot.

I remember checking to see if my eyes, nose and mouth were still there when I woke up, and feeling really relieved.

Not sure about dream analysis, but have you been taking any medication? I have horrible nightmares if I take codeine, and I always wake up convinced something terrible has really happened. Takes a long time to shake of feeling the horrible feeling too.

I don't believe dreams mean anything and if they did why would they be so cryptic?

You're wanting to change yourself in an important way but are afraid of the consequences?

Cards that'a a good point. I sometimes have strange dreams if I'm taking medication or if I'm ill. I'm not taking any medication at the moment though, so it seems to have come out of the blue.

Butt that's also true, and I agree. I just wanted to post on here as it was such a weird dream and I didn't fancy telling anyone IRL as they'll probably all start worrying about me.

I love dream analysis and anything like this! There's a site called dreams moods where you can look up keywords from your dreams and find the meaning.

Are you pregnant? I've had some horrendous vivid dreams since getting pregnant. Really disturbing. Try not to worry about it too much, dreams don't have to mean anything if you don't want to.
