I have loads of pairs of jeans to sell but all intact.
DD says cut the things so they sell....

How old is DD?

TuddlesAndSisses · 18/08/2017 09:24

I have the opposite problem - wanted to buy some new grey jeans as mine have ripped at the knee. Went shopping and could only find ones with ripped knees Hmm

PancakesAteTheChildren · 18/08/2017 09:25

My osnis obsessed with ripped jeans! I said I would rip his old ones so I didn't have to buy more for him to stay in fashion. He declined!

Laiste · 18/08/2017 09:26

I'd not cut them. You'll be reducing your potential customer base Grin

People will cut them themselves if they want to.

Laiste · 18/08/2017 09:29

I used to go around with ripped fishnets on in the 80s - so i get it. But here's something about the flash flash of white knees under perfectly cut open jeans when they walk which looks daft to me.

mummmy2017 · 18/08/2017 09:30

But do I stand there at the door and offer them the scissors.
I too offered to cut my childrens jeans but they want to pay £25 for someone to designer cut the jeans.
When mine had a ripped knee the kids HIDE them.

TBH unless they are very in demand designer jeans you won't get a lot for them anyway, so why not try a pair or two to see if your DD is right?

Crispsheets · 18/08/2017 09:31

I tried some on in Top shop as a joke. Ripped them even further with my big feet

Laiste · 18/08/2017 09:34

Market them as 'Pre-Cut Jeans' OP Grin

MrsJayy · 18/08/2017 09:39

I was ripping jeans wearing tights in the 80s too but the new style shop ripped looks like its try hard 😀 we just ripped our own, I wouldn't rip them id sell them whole there will be women like a pp desperate to but intact jeans.

MrsJayy · 18/08/2017 09:42

crispsheets I further ripped Dds jeans i was putting them inside out to wash them put my hand through a rip and ripped them a bit more she was not amused

JennyBlueWren · 18/08/2017 10:48

I've been wearing ripped jeans all summer so super fashionable! They are my favourite comfy trousers but kneeling to garden has worn the knees through. DH did question whether they were fashionably ripped or just old!

Should give a pair to DD to rip and then have the challenge of who can sell theirs for the most (ripped vs un ripped)! Winner gets both profits!

Girty999 · 18/08/2017 10:51

Saw a girl yesterday there was more rip than actual material, she looked fab and I am jealous of her gorgeous legs , I'm clearly old and was concerned she must have paid a lot for what would probably a four inch square of denim lol x

QueenNefertitty · 18/08/2017 10:53

I wrote a blog about this recently when all I wanted was a pair of jeans with the legs intact.

Do not cut them- please please let there be a few more pairs of jeans with entire thighs left in the world!

MrsJayy · 18/08/2017 10:54

I saw a girl with ripped denim shorts on holiday well they were more thread than short with just enough short to cover her modesty 😁

BlurryFace · 18/08/2017 12:26

I'd leave them as is and anyone who wants them ripped will do it themselves. I remember my mother's despair as I attacked my jeans with the kitchen scissors as a teen lol.
