I am slightly horrified to have just received my monthly CPD meetings update from the CIOB (chartered institute of builders) and there is a session being run in Leeds about what is and isn't acceptable in the workplace in relation to harassment and the 2010 equality act. The course description even mentions inappropriate calendars! Seriously!!
It's 2017 FFS! I cannot believe that professionals need to go to session to be told boobies should not be flaunted on office walls. I've been in this industry for 12 years and haven't been groped/accused of being a lesbian/told to make the teas in at least 6 years. I thought we'd moved forward. WIBU to contact the institute and ask for an explanation of how this fits in with their policy to attract and retain women?
