Reviewing your benefits and circumstances

Hi, I've just received a letter with this written on it
I'm a bit worried!
I live with my ex partner and his family- separate rooms as I can't find a house to move into that will accept housing benefit.
Do they think I'm doing fraud or something??? Really worried.
I claim child tax, child benefit and income support.
Doesn't say under caution or anything
Anyone else know what it might be?

Has it asked for any specific detail? Have you told them you're not with your ex anymore but still living there? If they haven't written anything threatening I think you'll be fine they might just want clarification on some details

I've had a few of these letters. Someone had falsely reported me for benefit fraud, living with my partner when claiming as single. I just had to go in, write my statement. They said if any evidence was found on me, then it would be an interview under caution but I never heard from them again.

Have you disclosed the full circumstances to them?

If so you should be ok. But looks like they are reviewing the circumstances.

Yeah I've told them about circumstances- just called and they said it's about my ex partner, so will just need to explain that I think

Yes, if you are claiming as a single person/parent but living with someone they will want to know the details. If you are still linked together as a couple you may have a problem.
