When should I quit?

Sorry, posting in AIBU for traffic mainly as not sure of protocol.

I have a couple of job offers and another interview tomorrow morning. I'm planning on accepting 1 of these and have a 3m notice period. All potential new employers are keen for a start date asap.

My question is, do I formally accept job offer, sign contract and then resign, or resign then formally accept? Or informally accept (through recruiter) then quit? My current employer may try and keep me but I'm not interested in a counter offer so not planning on usingas leverage.

Furthermore, today, one of my junior colleagues (not a line report but we work v closely and have several joint projects) has told me she's been approached by a member of a different internal team with a very attractive proposal with scope for promotion. She needs to give an answer by Thursday/friday - just when i was planning on resigning.

So this complicates things more (to me) as my current team may end up losing us both within a couple of days. Do I wait for her to resign then resign myself? Or just ignore her entire issue and be selfish to my own career?

My poor boss actually thinks she's having a good week!

Wait until you receive a contract, everything confirmed and have the job in hand. You can usually use unused holiday towards your notice if you don't want cash.

Get contract then resign. Ignore the other person and what there doing.

I have the contract already for the job I'm intending to accept, but they've improved their offer based on the fact that I've got another company interested.

I should state that interview tomorrow is mainly for leverage for the company that's already sent me a draft contract
