For getting a spray tan....

Because I'm going to start swimming on Monday ! A cpl times a week in a bid to get fitter and hopefully loose some poundage 😆

I was white as a sheet and figured a spray tan will make me feel better (which it has!) I'm fully aware the tan will fade fast with swimming but my confidence to actually don a swimsuit for the first time in years has been boosted a little 😜

I'm 40 something and need to loose a good 15-20lbs... gotta start somewhere eh !

Hmm. Well I wouldn't bother. As a regular swimmer I know that everyone has their own shape and size and nobody cares about anyone else. Wrapping a towel around you will provide a bit of cover. An application of Dove gradual tanner will give a little bit of colour if you need it.

However, if it's the only way you can face getting started then go for it and top up with the Dove. I hope you get to love it and you will see that nobody is looking at you. Everyone is far more worried about their own wobbly bits than yours. Smile

If a spray tan makes you feel more confident and lifts your spirits, then YANBU to treat yourself to one! I don't have spray tans but there are other appearance-related things that make me feel more confident. Glad it's given you a boost and enjoy your swimming.

I bloody love a spray tan. Sounds like a plan OP

IbexToDiffer · 12/08/2017 17:13

Doesn't it just come off when you swim? I wouldn't but only because I'd think I'd waste my money if it only lasted a swim.

Neverknowing · 12/08/2017 17:15

YANBU if it'll make you feel better But even if you're very fat and very pale I doubt anyone will notice!! I've never gone swimming and thought 'god that woman's so fat' you just sort of swim and ignore everyone else aha ?

I have a spray tan before holidays and they usually last around 4 days before they start fading.

You would probably need a spray weekly to maintain it, it's a lot of faff if it's just for swimming as the most you will be seen is walking from the changing room to pool and back again.and from the waist up on the water.

I.swim twice a week and wrap a towel round middle and leave it poolside on the bench so I can cover up sooner and hide for longer on the way in.
