Boohoo aibu?

I'm currently arguing with boohoo on the fb site as they won't speak to me on the phone but can't decide WIBU

The dress I wanted for my wedding dress wasn't avaliable in my size in the UK store after some searching I found it in the Norway store which offered UK delivery so the order was placed i payed a fortune in postage and waited a few weeks

Today I get emails saying thank you for returning the dress here's your refund minus postage

I contact boohoo via phone and message via the website and haven't heard anything from them yet so I message them via fb

After almost 3 hours of waiting for a response via pm I post on their page I then get a response via pm they claim because I ordered the dress off the Norwegian site that means it can't be sent even though

1 they offer UK postage on that site among others

2 they took around £12 postage for delivery to the uk
3 payment was successful
4 it's taken 2 weeks for them to tell me this
5 they didn't want to refund the postage until I complained
6 they are now ignoring my requests to escalate

So aibu to keep chasing them via fb or are the bu for not honoring the delivery

Boohoo are terrible at honouring orders. YANBU they should send the item !

Albertschair · 08/08/2017 20:15

Of course you aren't being unreasonable!

I've never heard of boohoo. But doesn't look like I'll.be buying off them.

At the minimum they refund you everything including postage. Within 2 working days. Not 2 weeks later and only a partial refund!

Letstryagainshallwe · 08/08/2017 20:22

Why would they say they deliver to the uk if they don't? I've never had problems with the uk boohoo

FerretsRock · 08/08/2017 22:09

They just keep saying because it's the wrong site they won't honor it I've spoken to 5 differs people all only for a matter of a paragraph and never had a reply from the same person I go hours between them replying

I'm so upset this was supposed to be my wedding dress I can't afford another and got this one in an amazing deal I've based my daughters bridesmaid dresses on it can't take those back now either
To put it into perspective my dress at £30 was the most expensive thing in this wedding

The website still says I can order it from Norway now UK site is in stock as well

I'm going to try to call customer services again as it claims 24 hours fingers crossed

Any Norwegian Mnetters who can order it for you?

hippadoppaloppagorillapig · 08/08/2017 23:09

There is no reason on earth that they cannot send the order. Have you tried getting it from ASOS? They sell Boohoo.

I'm having an issue with Boohoo at the moment as well. The site wouldn't let me return my order, because I hadn't made an account, so I posted it back to them at my own cost. Now they're saying they've not recieved it and are ignoring my PMs. They even cheekily suggested I should make an account "next time!" Told them I won't be ordering from them again! I'm emailing the CEO.

NewUser24 · 08/08/2017 23:13

Have you tried to contact the CEO. I couldn't find an email for her but her name is Carol Kane and using the advise from the link below it suggests sending an email to the persons name at their website for example:
[email protected]

www.google.co.uk/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/money/2016/sep/18/customer-complaint-ceo-better-than-customer-services

When I used to work in retail people used to complain to the CEO and even if they were bu they still got whatever they wanted so fingers crossed in your situation you may get it resolved.

Coconutspongexo · 08/08/2017 23:15

Have you got a screen shot of the Norwegian site to show them they're offering U.K. Delivery from there?

I don't understand why the transaction was even able to be made if they couldn't fulfil the order due to your location, ridiculous.

Coconutspongexo · 08/08/2017 23:19

Yeah they 100% should accept your order as it clearly states on no.boohoo.com they deliver to the UK!

Boohoo aibu?
user1500161471 · 08/08/2017 23:50

Use the app or website resolver for your complaints. It lets you escalate it to the relevant person when it is deemed necessary and in my experience, has got the results needed!

user1498240695 · 09/08/2017 00:06

If they have taken payment then they have agreed to contract with you and thus in law must deliver on their part of said agreement

TheMaddHugger · 09/08/2017 00:38

I often shop BooHoo.

Can you show us the dress?

Big ((((((((((((Mega Hugs))))))))))

FerretsRock · 09/08/2017 13:02

Sorry for the delay all, dd2 is teething and has been techy evil so we've been out puddle jumping trying to cheer her up didn't work

I've got screen shots of the page and have sent this to them proving it offers UK delivery the people on fb messenger are useless they just keep parroting it's the Norwegian site so I can't use it

They've already processed the refund their end and now just keep saying to re-order it even though I don't have the money my end yet typically I brought it with a 25% off code which is now invalid as well

I've given up on the dress now Sad i don't want to associate all this stress on the day this years been bad enough with loosing my best friend and dd2s missed birth defect and subsequent surgerys but I'll be continuing to argue with boohoo that they should have honored the order in the first place

Newuser24 thanks I've emailed the complaints department but I'll forward it on to her as well

Just got off the phone to my dm they've offered to lend me enough for my second choice dress until pay day (it was only second choice due to cost don't like spending money on things that won't get used lots )

Are you talking to boohoouk when you ordered it from a different site in norway?

justilou1 · 09/08/2017 13:43

Twitter is your friend in this kind of situation.

FerretsRock · 09/08/2017 14:32

I don't have twitter I've tried to set one up but I can't work it out

No.boohoo.com so not the UK site but as dipping shows they do post to the UK which boohoo are claiming they don't

TheFaerieQueene · 09/08/2017 14:37

The sound a well named company.

Coconutspongexo · 09/08/2017 14:50

They should give you another 25% off voucher!
