DP said "to be attractive to all women". Aibu to be upset by this? Essentially, he's just said his one wish would be to be able to do better. Or am I just being totally ott and over sensitive? It's possible that I could do with a bit of a shake.

He's middle aged, I'm a lot younger than him. To be fair, he didn't say that he wanted to do better than me, that was how i interpreted his wish to be attractive to all women. I can't see the point of that unless he wanted to better himself.

It sounds like a very glib, jokey, throw away comment. To me it suggests he doesn't think he is very attractive to women rather than thinking he could do better than you.

Well I think mine would be to have a beautiful healthy body that I couldn't ruin however much gin and chocolate I put in it. I guess that's a similar thing. It's not that I'd want to attract someone else, it just feels good to look good.

It was a silly question so his answer was in the spirit of it, just daft and jokey. Maybe it was even to playfully rib you a little.
I shouldn't worry about it too much, unless it's part of a bigger picture.

He's pretty much lovely. I'm definitely over sensitive at times, he must find it exhausting.
