My neighbour's music is making life very difficult for me. I moved into my house, a terrace, six months ago. My neighbour plays music very loudly between 9am and 5pm. The house was empty before we lived here so I think he got used to playing it loudly. It's so noisy I feel like I can't hear myself think, I can't watch tv or concentrate on a book ect. No part of the house is far away enough that I can't hear the music.
I am on maternity leave so am here with baby DD all day. Most the day we walk around the town or I drive to the supermarket and we spend hours in there just to get some piece. It was better when we had clubs to go to but they have broken up for the holidays. Luckily DD can sleep through anything!
I am a very anxious person but have tried nicely to ask him to turn it down a few times. I have sent OH round as well. He tells us things will change but they never do. The frustrating thing is when I had the council round it was silent the entire time and they said they can't do anything if they can't hear. I don't want to complain to him too much as that seems to make the problem worse.
He never seems to do it when his wife is home (She seems to work 9-5, he doesn't work) so OH never hears how loud it it. I feel like I'm being gas lit and going mad! Any tips please for how I can make it a bit more bearable? I fear DD will need ear defenders soon! AIBU for wanting to move house just to get some peace!
