TTC for 4 years, posting for traffic really (not an AIBU, apologies)...

Has anyone taken this whilst TTC? Would be so interested to hear people's experiences.

TIA

i had to take asirin when I was pregnant with dc3 but not ttc.
all my babies were born premature and it was hopefully going to help me with going full term. it didn't work.
I cant remember the benefits of it but good luck ttc

I took it on medical advice after two miscarriages. That and high dose folic acid were the only things I did differently and the pregnancy happened quickly and went full term.

The Dr said it wasn't certain to help but it wouldn't hurt. I think I had to take it only for 2 weeks out of 4, but can't remember if it was before or after ovulation now.

I was given it with dd2 (living dc2 actual child 4) but told if we ttc to begin it immediately dd1 was a 32 weeker, dts second trimester loss dd2 due date. Good luck Flowers

I've had two MCs this year and whilst seeing consultant for the 2nd I begged to know if there was anything at all I could possible do to improve chances next time and the consultant said they often recommend women with recurrent MCs to take an aspirin a day once you know you are pregnant.
I have subsequently looked into it and it seems it's a low dose of 75mg (Tesco usually do 300mg pills).
I'm led to believe this should be taken every day until well into the pregnancy - 30 weeks I read somewhere.
If/when I get pg again I will take this.

I didn't know about high dose folic acid flamencia (but am already taking pregnacare conception) so will look into that too.
Good luck OP

Have you had fertility investigations OP? Asprin is recommended for the prevention of miscarriage in some cases but it doesn't impact your changes of conceiving, afaik.

I had 3 recurrent MC, with my 4th pregnancy I was advised to take 75mg of aspirin. I went to full term with DS and that's the only thing I did differently? Obviously can't day for sure but if it causes no harm than I see no reason not to try.

I had 2 MMC and now pregnant again. I started taking low dose aspirin and normal folic acid when I found out - so 5 weeks in. I'm 10 weeks now and so far so good.
Best of luck to you Flowers

I'm taking 75mg whilst ttc. 3 consecutive mc in 18m. I saw consultant last week and she said it was fine to take it before conceiving and that I should double it upon a bfp.

THanks everyone. Yes, had every fertility treatment available, Clomid, injections, IUI, IVF. I've got PCOS. One specialist told me that IVF wasn't necessarily the only thing that could get me pregnant, but I will need Clomid at the very least. This was annoying but whatever.

Reason I asked (perhaps I should have been more specific) is that some experts say it helps with implantation and womb lining thickness (mine is often too thin in a treatment cycle so even if I managed to grow some follicles, implantation couldn't happen). It is believed by some dr's that baby aspirin increases blood flow to pelvis, in turn, thickening lining. Some people believe it has other magical properties directly linked to helping you to actually conceive but I can't find too much info about exactly what these reasons are.
I believe some clinics advise patients to take this, mine didn't.
