Over the past months there's been several threads related to these tools and techniques for managing stress, anxiety, trauma, recovery, relaxation, etc.

I've commented on some, and had off board exchanges with a number of people (some I know in RL, most I do not).

It made me wonder about how many people are trying things like that on a daily basis? More than I think, since in RL I only know one other person.

I think they're used very regularly by alot of people. Why do you ask?

I use Mindfulness a lot. It has really helped, my eldest son has ASD and can be really hard work. I shout at him a lot less since I started doing it, and we both use the breathing exercises at bedtime to help him calm down. It isn't foolproof, I have days where I shriek in anger, but I generally get myself back under control a lot quicker, and a lot more easily.

I try to do a practice a day, but to be honest, it's more like a practice every three days, although if I'm struggling to sleep, I find a body scan sends me off straight away, it's so relaxing!

I use an app called Calm I find it useful.
