I've only just realised how bizarre the song Delilah is. I've got such fond memories of singing along with the chorus as a kid, wtf did no one tell me?!

Anyone else suddenly realised what the lyrics to a song mean?

I was a huge music fan and played my mum's records over and over again during the 80s. Most of her stuff was 60s and 70s lps. I would go around the house happily singing 'Papa star papa star papa starrrr'.

When I was much older, I realise the actual words. 'Fuck a star, fuck a star, fuck a starrr'. Oops. Hopefully I was too tone deaf and out of tune for anyone to realise what I was blathering on about.
