To ask timing of taking the pill abroad?

This may be obvious but I want to check..if I normally take my contraceptive pill at 6pm in the UK and am going on holiday to part of USA which is 5 hours behind,do I simply take my pill at 1pm each day in the states?

But I personally wouldn't be able to take it at 1pm cos I'd be out and I'd forget. I'd still take it at the part of your routine you normally do as the five hour time difference shouldn't matter. Check the instructions though as some pills do have strict time limits, and if that's the case I'd maybe for example take it 2.5 hours late the first day and then I'd be on my normal routine by the next day.

Obviously if you just normally set an alarm and take it at 6pm every day then you don't have that problem
