Yes ok. It's not an AIBU. But. I had met some lovely people today felt I needed to share!
I went shopping to a well known supermarket for the good value baby clothes (4 month old strapped to me in a sling). I didn't have much stuff - about 10 items? So went to use the self service checkout. After the usual 'remove item from bagging area' bollocks, the baby woke up hungry from his sling nap and started squarking. Nice staff lady scanned all my shopping!!
Went to the cafe for a cup tea and to feed said squarking baby. It's a self service tea urn set up thing. Nice young man (with fetching penis tattoo on his neck) offers to make tea and brought it to me. His baby is also 4 months. Goes to show you cannot judge a book by the cover.
Take the shopping back to the car. In a normal space as parent spaces were all full. No great shakes tbh. Unload shopping. Unload baby into car seat. Nice chap whisks trolley away. 'I'll put that back for you'.
They do exist! There are nice people out there!!
